Trade carts conditions
Author Borja Created 7/3/2024 10:32:54 AMCarrus works together to give you, the customer, the best possible experience with your (golf)cart or buggy. Whether it is a standard 2-seater cart, a shuttle for 24-passenger shuttle, or a unique rare cart. You name it.
What are 'Trade Carts'?
Trade carts, or ‘sold as seen’ carts, are golf carts sold as they appear in their pictures. Carrus does a little work on the carts because some carts come in rough shape. Trade carts at Carrus are carts that are:
- Stripped of any unnecessary stickers or decals
- Cleaned with a pressure wash
- Have working brakes
- Tested on an external battery pack to drive forward and backward
- Batteries in the cart are NOT tested
- Checked for any damage to the frame or body
One of the aspects that we focus on is to make it as accessible as possible to everyone, as quickly as possible. That is why we buy used carts, that can be purchased in a similar condition as when we bought them; the ‘Trade carts’.
Terms that apply to 'Trade Carts'
Trade carts have different purchasing conditions than, for example, refurbished carts. The following terms apply:
- Payment: trade carts are held for payment for up to 4 days. After the 4 days, the order will be canceled and the cart will be put back online.
- Warranty: the warranty on 'Trade Carts' is limited. If the cart does not move forward/backward with an external battery, or the charger is broken up arrival, only then is the cart eligible for warranty. Read more about Warranty
- Transport: 'Trade Carts' are bought without transport. Carrus can, if requested, arrange transport with a third party for an additional charge. Carrus is NOT responsible for any damage to a 'Trade Cart' during or after the transportation.
Third-party transport responsibility falls outside of Carrus and is entirely with the customer.
What can you expect from a 'Trade Cart'?
'Trade Carts' come from all over the world. This means that the condition of the carts can vary a lot. Some of the most common damages to a (golf)cart or buggy are:
- Body panel damage: scratches, broken parts or sun-damaged panels are not uncommon.
- Rust: the carts are used and sometimes it is unclear how they have been stored. This means that there could be more or less rust depending on where they are from.
- Batteries: batteries are NOT tested with/on used carts.
- Certificates: the purchase of a 'Trade Cart' does not include the cost of optional certificates.
There is no warranty for rust or batteries for 'Trade Carts'.
